EAF Policies

Here you will learn all about EAF policies and why are they an integral part of our efforts.

EAF policy

EAF policies are created in order to make sure that the impact we want to achieve is not only supported by the individuals and local organizations, but by local authorities and decision makers as well. This way, a structural change can be done in the field of fighting fake news, but also educating young people about critical thinking and media literacy.

Benefits of EAF Policies

Supporting better public discourse

By combating disinformation, we can have better informed citizens, who will be able to take a more active and constructive part in public discourse and finding solutions to burning societal problems.

Developing critical thinking skills of citizens

Through a correct education on how to consume information served by traditional and digital media, the citizens will be developing their critical skills and becoming more resilient .

Strengthening democratic values

There is no democracy without citizens who are well informed and ready to actively participate in public life. This can be only achieved by increasing media literacy levels among people.

Building partnership between local authorities and civil sector

By implementing these policy recommendations, local authorities will be enticed to support local youth organizations and other non-governmental actors in building critical thinking skills of citizens.
